Impact Tank is a Namibian-Swiss social impact venture builder dedicated to transforming innovative ideas into sustainable businesses that create both economic and community value. Through partnerships with leading organizations to deliver incubator and accelerator programmes, we support entrepreneurs to ideate, build, launch, and grow impactful ventures across multiple sectors.

As our incubator and accelerator portfolio expands, we are strengthening our Project Management Department to ensure high-quality programme delivery and effective portfolio coordination.

Position Overview

Impact Tank is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Venture Builder to join our team. Venture Builders will lead 

hands-on venture development processes, from ideation and validation to growth and scaling, supporting 

entrepreneurs. The Venture Builder will work directly with entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures to design, test, and scale sustainable business models. This includes hands-on support in business strategy, financial modelling, market validation, and operational setup, as well as managing day-to-day program activities, mentorship coordination, and venture 

performance tracking.

This role suits a practical problem-solver who enjoys working closely with founders, understands startup dynamics, 

and thrives in a fast-paced, impact-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial thinker with 

experience in business advisory, incubation, or enterprise development, and a passion for helping small businesses 

achieve sustainable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Venture Support & Development 

  • Supporting coordination and delivery of incubation and accelerator programmes 

  • Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and tracking across multiple initiatives 

  • Monitoring activities, milestones, and deliverables to support timely execution 

  • Supporting organisation of programme sessions, workshops, and events 

Program Delivery & Coordination

  • Assist the Project Lead in implementing all program components and activities.

  • Coordinate mentorship sessions, technical assistance, and workshops for participants.

  • Manage communications and scheduling with entrepreneurs, mentors, and service providers.

  • Support in the logistics and execution of training sessions and reporting processes.

  • Maintain updated venture profiles, progress trackers, and performance reports.

 Research, Validation & Analysis

  • Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to inform venture strategy and investment decisions.

  • Support in due diligence and selection processes for new ventures.

  • Assist in monitoring and evaluation by collecting and analyzing venture performance data.

  • Identify emerging opportunities, risks, and trends relevant to each business.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships 

  • Liaise with consultants, and partners supporting ventures.

  • Support communication and relationship management between Impact Tank, funders, and ecosystem partners

Content Development & Communication

  • Contribute to knowledge products, success stories, and venture spotlights for the project’s visibility.

  • Prepare presentation materials, reports, and documentation for internal and external audiences.

  • Support development of toolkits, training materials, and templates for entrepreneurs.

Desired Skills & Competencies 

We are looking for someone who the following: 

We are looking for driven professionals with a mix of analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills. Ideal qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Development Studies, or related fields.

  • 2–5 years’ experience in entrepreneurship support, business advisory, incubation, consulting, SME 

  • development or venture building.

  • Strong understanding of business model design, financial planning, and market development.

  • Proven experience working with MSMEs or social enterprises in rural or community-based contexts.

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and business development tools (e.g., Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup methods).

  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and passionate about entrepreneurship and social impact.
